Meet Our Team > Tiffany Smith
Tiffany Smith, Evaluation and Health Equity Advisor, works with Cities & People in designing and implementing formal evaluation projects, particularly within the public sector, to ensure that local programs and policies are best supporting Black people, indigenous people, other people of color, and low-income people. Tiffany has a particular passion for the role that evaluation can play in ending social disparities as defined throughout the social ecological model of health and wellness. Tiffany is also a Senior Project Manager at C.A.R.E. Consulting Group, where she manages projects for various tribal organizations in Northern CA. Before joining C.A.R.E., she served as a technical assistance specialist at a public health policy research firm, where she contributed to qualitative research, technical assistance, evaluation, for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and health and developmental disabilities services projects.
Tiffany has conducted numerous site visits and qualitative interviews throughout her career to gather best practices in HIV service delivery both domestically and internationally. She also served as an evaluation staff member at Emory COMPASS Coordinating Center where she provided technical assistance in creating evaluation design plans and data collection tools for grantee recipients.
Tiffany lived in Zambia for three years, working as a Monitoring and Evaluation site visit manager for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). In this role, she was responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, conducting data quality audits, managing electronic health records, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. She also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia from 2015-2017, where she provided ongoing malaria prevention strategies, taught English, and trained community health workers. Ms. Smith holds a Master’s degree in Measurement and Evaluation from American University and Bachelor’s degree from University of California, Los Angeles.
When she’s not working, Tiffany enjoys hiking, cooking, true crime documentaries, and spending time with her family.
